CecilFishing ("we," "our," or "us") provides a fishing intelligence platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application and website.
1. Information We Collect
- Account Information: When you register, we collect your email address, name, and username.
- Location Data: We use your GPS location to show your position on the fishing map and to provide localized bite intelligence. This data is processed on your device and only stored on our servers if you explicitly log a catch.
- Catch Logs: If you log a catch, we store the species, location (coordinates), notes, and photos you provide.
- Usage Data: We collect anonymous data about how you interact with the app (e.g., page hits) to improve our algorithms.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide real-time fishing scores and localized weather/tide data.
- To maintain the "Community Feed" and "Leaderboard."
- To send "Bite Alerts" if you have opted into notifications.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. Catch locations logged in the "Community Feed" are visible to other users. Catch locations logged in your "Private Journal" are never shared.
4. Your Choices
You can update your profile, delete your catch logs, or opt-out of email alerts at any time via the "Edit Profile" screen.
